Detailed Product Ratings

How to Set Up Detailed Product Ratings

The Detailed Product Ratings feature allows you to collect more specific feedback from customers based on the type of product they purchased. For example, you can ask different questions about a pair of shoes than you would about a piece of furniture or an auto part.

Supported Product Categories

You can enable detailed ratings for the following product types:

  • Shoes
  • Shirts
  • Pants
  • Dresses
  • Furniture
  • Jewelry
  • Auto Parts

Step 1: Enable Detailed Ratings

  1. Go to Product Reviews tabDetailed product ratings.
  1. Select the product category you’d like to configure (for example, Furniture).
  1. Toggle Enable Detailed Ratings to the on position.

Step 2: Map Product Categories

Each business has its own internal product catalog, and category names may differ. To make sure your detailed ratings apply correctly, you’ll need to map each category in our system to the product categories you are using in your product catalog.

  1. Under Mapped Product Categories, start typing the name of a category from your catalog.
  1. Select or add each category that should fall under the chosen product type.
      • Example: If your internal category is Desks, you can map it to the Furniture detailed rating category.

Tip: If the categories from your product catalog are not in our system, please upload an up-to-date product catalog in Step 2 (File Upload tab) here.

Step 3: Choose Rating Questions

Once categories are mapped, you can customize the questions customers will see for each product type.

  1. Click Edit Questions under the category.
  1. Choose from the available options or create your own custom questions.
      • Example: For Furniture, you might ask about Quality, Appearance, or Value.

  1. Save your changes.

Step 4: Review and Save

After setting up all desired categories and questions:

  • Double-check that each product category is correctly mapped.
  • Save your settings to activate detailed ratings for those categories.

How It Works for Customers

When a customer leaves a review for a product in one of your mapped categories, they’ll automatically see the detailed rating questions associated with that product type. This helps generate more meaningful, category-specific insights.
